Performing as silent screen vamp Barbara La Marr and writing her biography is, without question, one of the greatest thrills of my life. As I approach the final segments of her extraordinary, turbulent, incredibly full life in the biography, I pause to revisit earlier chapters, supplementing them with newly-acquired material not availble when I originally wrote them. I am very grateful for the positive feedback I have received on the completed portions of the book, particularly from Donald Gallery, Barbara's only child: "Don said the other day that he felt you have brought Barbara back to life for him," his wife, Patricia, wrote in one of their e-mails to me. "Also a peace inside him that he has never had before about his mother and how she felt about him. Thank you for giving this to him."
