March 9 Bullocks Wilshire Fashion Show

What great fun I had modeling in the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles “Hollywood Deco: Art Deco Costume from Film and Stage” fashion show at the historic Bullocks Wilshire, once a renowned luxury department store, on March 9. The sold-out show featured gorgeous vintage costumes owned by collector Greg Schreiner and included a tribute to famed 20th-century artist and designer Erté.

I wore a beaded gown Erté designed for Stardust, a lavish musical production---and his final project before his passing at age 97 in 1990. (The backstage photos below are courtesy of Fabian Fioto. The illustration is Erté's costume rendering. The last photo was taken by Jennifer Stockert.)
